4th week in Bountiful, General Conference

October 7, 2019

Hello everyone,

This is Margaret, Mitchell's mom. First, don't hit reply to write Mitchell an email. Please instead send him an email at mitchell.nehorai@missionary.org

If you are receiving this email for the first time, let me quickly catch you up.

His first area- Bountiful. Arrived on September 10, 2019. Still there.

The weather- low 40's to mid-'50s. He's wearing a short-sleeve shirt during the days but has already had to buy a jacket worthy of low temps. It gets cold at night.

Companion- Elder Allen is from Wales.

Food- He and his companion get fed every night.

Temple- He was able to attend the temple twice during his stay in the MTC.
All 144 missionaries in his mission will be in the temple all day long on Halloween day.

Baptisms- His first is this Saturday.

General Conference- He was able to attend the Sunday morning session with an investigator and her husband. The husband has been inactive but now they are reading scriptures, praying together, etc. It's a miracle.

Miracles-1.Met Mike's (dad) old companion on his second day in Bountiful. Mike has now reunited with Wayne Clayton and the Clayton's have adopted Mitchell as their own and taking good care of him. 2. Got a ride from Amy Lambert's sister, Julia one night.

P-Day-Monday

Walk vs. Bike- The mission is a biking mission but his companion doesn't like his bike (ha) so they walk everywhere. Also, Mitchell says he is surrounded by hills! Mitchell says there are more blessings that way anyway.

Overall-Loving his mission.

part of today's conversation with Mitchell: "Mom, remember when we would always wave to the missionaries when we saw them on the street....." uh-huh" Mom replied....."well now I'm that missionary.....it's so cool."
(Mom's heart swelled three sizesEmoji

Here is his letter this week. It's the shortest one yet but apparently participating in a zone activity today and at a member's house till 6. He has terrible internet at his apartment so he has to go to the church to send emails. Anyway.......here it is.

Hello everyone,

This one's going to be a little shorter due to we hung out with other missionaries in our zone so we didn't get much free time.

I hope you all had a great week and have great plans for this week as well. This week we had another lesson with Jazmine at the temple. We talked about the baptismal interview questions so that was awesome. She is going to be baptized this Saturday. Elder Allen will baptize her and I will do the confirmations. We took her and her husband to General Conference on the Sunday morning session. (General Conference takes place twice a year where our prophet and apostles speak to the congregation. It is broadcast worldwide. The next one will be the first weekend in April, day after my bday.)

The wards are finally filling our schedule and all I can say is that 14 hours of service in 5 days feels great spirituality but a little tiring physically. (Mom was sent a picture of me and my companion washing windows from Sister Wilkes, a member in the ward.)
I'm loving my mission. I can't wait to teach more people about this awesome gospel.

Thank you for all your prayers and for being amazing people! Till next week!
